Free Agency as The New York Rangers continued their rebuild by drafting Alexis LaFreniere with the first overall pick it was a very busy first week of free agency. New York elected to sign four forwards that provide a depth of scoring for the Hartford Wolf Pack. Kevin Rooney will be a physical force that will make nights tough for opposing players. Colin Blackwell who has established himself as an offensive player at the American Hockey League level will provide steady scoring. Anthony Greco is a player who is not afraid to shoot the puck and will be a very dangerous player. Jonny Brodzinsky will be another offensive threat that will challenge the other team’s goaltender every shift he plays. Moving onto defense the New York Rangers signed Anthony Bitetto to bring grit to a team that gives up a lot of scoring chances. Jack Johnson is a National Hockey League veteran who brings leadership to the very young core of defensive prospects. Lastly, Keith Kinkaid was brought in to provide experience in goal for Hartford and provide insulation for the expansion draft.
