Breaking: Joe Flacco To Start Against Chargers In Week 11

Once again, Joe Flacco is slated to start for the New York Jets against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. Sam Darnold will miss yet another game with a shoulder injury.

Darnold missed Week 9’s contest against the New England Patriots because of a reaggravated shoulder injury. Originally, he injured his shoulder in Week 4.

For the time being, the veteran quarterback will be under center.

Last week on Monday Night Football, Joe Flacco had a superb game against the Patriots. He completed 72 percent of his passes, throwing for three touchdowns and one costly interception. In that game, Flacco passed Hall Of Fame quarterback Joe Montana for 20th on the all-time passing yards list.

It seemed as though head coach Adam Gase opened the playbook for the veteran.

This season, Flacco has passed for 659 passing yards with four touchdowns to two interceptions. He has also completed 56.7 percent of his passes and has a passer rating of 80.6.

Head coach Adam Gase says the injured reserve list is not an option right now for the injured Sam Darnold.

Darnold currently has a sprained AC joint in his shoulder. It seems as though the Jets are taking a more conservative approach with their young quarterback’s injury.
