Breaking: Nets Have Traded 19th Pick for Landry Shamet

The Brooklyn Nets have traded the 19th pick in the NBA Draft in a trade with the Clippers and Pistons.

The Nets will be receiving guard Landry Shamet from the Clippers in the deal, with Los Angeles acquiring guard Luke Kennard from the Pistons.

Detroit made the 19th selection with pick and selected Saddiq Bey from Villanova. Rodney McGruder will be heading to Detroit as well.

This move shows that the Nets are in a championship mindset going forward. Shamet has shown to be an elite three-point threat in his first two seasons in the league. He has knocked down over 40% of his threes in 132 career games.

Due to Brooklyn being heavily linked to former MVP James Harden, Shamet is a candidate to be included in a deal as well. However, Houston has shown to be reluctant in trading their franchise star.

Whatever the Nets do next, the Nets trading the highest pick they’ve had in years shows their desire to win now.
