Mims has not been placed on the COVID-19 list nor has he tested positive for the virus.
He missed today’s practice to fly home to Texas to deal with a family emergency, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Since Mims isn’t in the building, he’ll have to participate in a series of tests before he can reenter the team’s facility. Here is head coach Adam Gase talking about the Mims situation.

Returning after missing six games, Denzel Mims has burst onto the scene. In six games, Mims has caught 19 receptions for 324 yards. He also leads the team with 17.1 yards per reception.
In all of his games played, he’s recorded at least 40 receiving yards.
Evidently, when on the field, Denzel Mims has had a standout season.
