It was only a matter of time before the hammer would fall. Disgraced Jets beat writer Manish Mehta has been removed from covering the Jets, per a tweet made by the New York Daily News.

It’s unclear at the moment who will replace Mehta. Obviously, the New York Daily News felt pressured and made the right decision.
The New York Daily News fired Mehta after scandalous details came out about him late last month.
Manish Mehta also deleted his Twitter account. I am guessing he’ll be fading from the public eye as well.
The first major detail of Mehta’s misbehavior was stalking the son of Jets’ general manager Joe Douglas. Craig Carton of WFAN confirmed this report made by EA producer Erika Esola-Imburgio.
What led to Manish losing his Jets credentials? A lot of things.
But the last straw was when Manish decided to harass Jets GM Joe Douglas’ child at a baseball game.

The most detrimental thing that came about Manish Mehta is when he took credit for a colleague’s work. http://
it’s really fun when you commute 4 hours a day to practice and your own training camp observations don’t get attributed to you pic.twitter.com/1F1H7OPO3J

There were other ruthless and creepy things Manish Mehta did on the job. But, the two events listed above were probably the most detrimental to his reputation.
