Knicks Injury Report: Ntilikina & Noel Doubtful For Tonight

Today, the Knicks received some injury news regarding tonight’s game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Frank Ntilikina and Nerlens Noel are listed as doubtful.

Ntilikina is dealing with a sore Achilles. Noel is dealing with a sore left knee. As a result, expect rookie point guard Immanuel Quickley to get more minutes. As a matter of fact, fans are optimistic to see what Quickley has in store.

The Knicks are already dealing with other injuries at the moment. Austin Rivers is dealing with a  pulled groin and could miss the entire preseason. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is dealing with an illness.

Understandably, the Knicks will be reasonably cautious with Ntilikina’s Achilles injury. Currently, the Knicks have one more preseason game after today. They face the Cavaliers on Friday.

The Knicks play their first regular-season game on December 23rd against the Indiana Pacers.

For the most part, Nerlens Noel has had a good showing in the preseason. His field goal percentage stands at 54.5 percent this preseason. Noel has also averaged 6.5 points, nine rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Noel has also accumulated 1.5 blocks per game. He has been good at protecting the rim and getting into the paint so far.

Frank Ntilikina has averaged five points, three rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. Ntilikina has been vintage on both sides of the ball. Although, he’s been playing better off-ball. Maybe head coach Tom Thibodeau has figured Ntilikina out.
