Following a brutal loss to the Cleveland Browns last Sunday night, the Giants look back on track when they take on the Baltimore Ravens today at 1 PM on FOX. However, it will be no easy for the Giants as they will be forced to shut down the high-powered Ravens offense lead by reigning MVP Lamar Jackson.
New York Giants
It has been everything but smooth sailing for the Giants over the last two games. Daniel Jones has been beaten up in the previous two games, and it has reflected on the poor play the Giants have displayed. Jones was even forced to miss last week’s game. After missing last week’s game with a hamstring and ankle injury, Jones will return to the field today and take the starting reigns back. However, it was also announced that Golden Tate would miss this week’s game with a calf injury. Leaving Big Blue once again, short-handed at the wide receiver position. Also, for the Giants, James Bradberry and Kyler Fackrell will be returning to the team this week.
Over their last two games, the Ravens have been an offensive machine. Scoring 40 points in both of their previous two games. The primary offensive weapon for the Ravens is still Lamar Jackson. Jackson had the best game of his season two weeks, coming back into the game after being injured to lead the Ravens to a fantastic victory over the Cleveland Browns. And last week, the Ravens continued to dominate offensively with a convincing 40-14 win. Running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards combined to complete a deadly pairing in the backfield. And top pass catchers Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews will look to create problems for the Giants secondary.
The Giants need this win, but the Ravens want it just as bad. This game will be decided based on how well the Giants shut down Lamar Jackson and the rest of the Ravens’ offense if Big Blue can contain them, similar to how they played in Seattle. I see the Giants winning this game. But if not, it could be a long day for Big Blue. However, I believe the Giants can keep it close. But will not come out on top.
Score Prediction: Ravens 24, Giants 21
