Victor Zeidenfeld
I’m Victor Zeidenfeld and I have a passion for sports that is unmatched by most. I write for All New York Sports with the goal of sharing my love for baseball and hockey by keeping followers updated on the Islanders, Rangers, Devils, Mets, and Yankees. I joined this team of writers during the Covid-19 pandemic because this year is special in its own way since athletes continue to compete for a championship that will certainly be like no other making it a special time to cover sports. My knowledge of baseball and hockey continues to grow; helping me understand the game on another level. Despite only being a junior in high school, I am interning for the Islanders giving me an inside look into the business world of hockey. With the opportunity to write for All New York Sports, I plan on helping all of my readers develop a deeper understanding of the sports I love. I am a big Islanders and Yankees fan and can’t wait to see what they can do for years to come. I became a huge hockey fan when I started learning how to skate at 6 and my love for the game has grown ever since. I started following baseball during the Yankees 2009 championship year and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Marcello Cappello
As diehard fan of the Mets, Rangers, Jets, and Knicks, I have endured some highs and some lows watching over the years. Following in my dad’s footsteps has been the passion and knowledge that I have with my favorite teams and the effect they have on my mood varies by the day. While not originally being a huge sports fan, I was involved with playing the games I loved, baseball and hockey until eighth grade and senior year of high school, respectively. Beginning in 2012, I started to get heavily involved with the aforementioned teams and I became a fanatic. Having season tickets for the Rangers at the time was a blessing in that I was able to attend some great games. As for the Mets, I hadn’t really attended much games until the 2015 season in which we got our first ticket plan at the end of the season for playoffs, and have held them ever since. Being able to attend the Wilmer Flores game, Asdrubal Cabrera game, game 3 of the World Series and many others has been something I will be grateful for the rest of my life. And now having the ability to write for some of my favorite teams such as the Mets is something I do not take for granted and something I will enjoy for a long time.

Writer
Mattthew Sherwin
My name is Matthew Sherwin. I joined AllNYSports in May of 2020 writing for the Rangers. I transitioned to writing about the Mets and now write for both the Mets and the Rangers. In my free time, I am almost always watching sports. I grew up watching sports starting with baseball at age five. I started watching hockey at nine and football at 12. I watched basketball scarcely until I entered high school and I began to follow more closely. I am a huge fan of the Mets, Jets, Rangers, and Nets (sad life I know). I play varsity baseball at my local high school and have played since I was six years old. When I’m not watching or playing sports, I’m usually gaming with my friends playing games like Rocket League, Minecraft, or Call of Duty. In the future, I hope to be a sports writer or sports broadcaster and I will be attending college starting in the fall of 2021 in order to further my education and achieve that goal. Writing for AllNYSports is a great way for me to enrich my skills and without Max, none of this is possible, so I want to thank him for giving me the opportunity to let me show what I’ve got.

Growing up in Brazil at the time I did, we were way behind times, and the only sports we could watch live was Brazilian soccer. My house had a soccer field and half a basketball court, so I played a lot for fun. the only way to watch other sports was on Betamax 6 months after events at our school. We watched from boxing, NFL (Dallas and Pittsburgh), NBA (Celtics and Lakers). When I came to NJ in the mid 80’s, that’s when I became a Knicks fan. From the early 90’s to about 2013, I played pick up games in the parks and gyms of NJ/NY. Boxing I did just for exercise (I heard I’d live longer lol). I’m an artist, so being creative, I figured today I’d give journalism a shot. So here I am…

In 2010, I became a fan of the NBA. That was the time where Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics faced Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers. Eventually, the team that I chose to root was defeated. From that time, I continuously watched every single televised game here in our country. One time, I found out that there’s a forum where all the fans talk to each other about the current trendings or any NBA hot topics — and that’s Reddit. Thanks to Reddit as it became my foundation why I managed to learn writing. I also managed to deepen my knowledge about the league. Still, there are so many things that I need to learn and improve. I wanna achieve those things while working for the Allnysports site.

I’m from Staten Island where the former Yankees low class A Minor League team, The Staten Island Yankees played. I’ve been a Yankees fan all my life and I was born into being a Yankees fan. At the age of 16 during the whole COVID-19 pandemic, CJ and I decided to make a podcast talking about the Yankees and how much love we have towards this team. That’s what lead us here today with us now being part of the ANYS team and wecouldn’t be more thankful. So now that you know me on a more personal note my name is Brandon Gallego and as I always say before we end the videos, signing off it is your amigo Brandon.

Hello my name is David. I am an avid Knicks fan. Growing up in Brooklyn in the early 90’s, I saw my father root for the Patrick Ewing lead Knicks. As the team struggled to make it past MJ and the Bulls it only intrigued me more. As a child I soon began to fall in love with the game of basketball. Playing ball in my local park until the cops would kick us out only to sneak back in the park once they left. While the years past I saw my team make the nba finals then fall into a deep funk. However growing up on NYC means your a Knicks fan no matter what. I hope to share my passion for my team with you all. Hopefully we can share some wins as well.
