As a die-hard New York Mets and Brooklyn Nets fan, I have gone through some highs and lows as a sports fan. The 2015 World Series and the signings of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are among my most grateful moments as a sports fan, but as most New York sports fans, I've seen a lot more bad than good. Years of Wilpon cheapness and the aftermath of the Boston Celtics trade made it extremely difficult to root for the teams I love, but I remained loyal because that is what us die-hard fans do. I am currently a senior in high school with aspirations to end up in a career in sports, whether that be in front office management or simply a journalist.
